NEWS / FEEM at Climate Week NYC

The Seventh Climate Week NYC will convene in New York City from 21 to 28 September 2015.

Organized by The Climate Group, an international non-profit that works with corporate and government partners to promote innovation and supportive policy frameworks for a low carbon future, Climate Week NYC brings together global figures – and new voices – from the worlds of business, government and society who are leading the low carbon transition.

Within Climate Week NYC, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) will organize two important side events (participation is free of charge | registration is required):

With UN discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals taking place during the same week in New York City, Climate Week NYC 2015 will also provide a complementary opportunity to highlight how climate action and low carbon growth will benefit today’s economy without compromising future generations. The United Nations Summit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda will be held from 25 to 27 September 2015 in New York and convened as a high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly. Visit Summit website: www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/summit.

Finally, we highlight another relevant event in New York City: Prof. Carlo Carraro and other FEEM researchers will also take part in the 2015 International Conference on Sustainable Development, held on September 23–24 at Columbia University (NYC) with the following speeches:

  • Carlo Carraro, September 24, 2 pm, “Assessing Sustainable Development Goals” (Carraro C., Campagnolo L., Eboli F., Farnia L.)
  • Carlo Orecchia, September 23, 3 pm, “The Cost of Climate Stabilization in Southeast Asia, a Joint Assessment with Dynamic Optimization and CGE Models” (Bosello F., Marangoni G., Orecchia C., Raitzer D., Tavoni M.);
  • Elisa Delpiazzo, September 24, 2 pm, “Analyzing the Coordinated Impacts of Climate Policies for Financing Adaptation and Development Actions” (Delpiazzo E., Parrado R., Standardi G.).
