Dear colleagues,
This year, the SISC Annual Conference will once again be preceded by a special journey, a cycling trip from Bologna to Bolzano!
From 30 October to 1 November, a group of climate scientists will cycle across the Po Valley and along the Adige Valley, turning their travel to the conference into an opportunity to promote sustainable mobility and explore the environmental challenges facing the regions along the route.
Three days, three stages, and three key topics: air quality between Bologna and Mantova, water resources and their management between Mantova and Rovereto, and the relationship between agriculture and climate change on the final stretch to Bolzano.
Bike4SISC is open to everyone attending the conference. You can take part in the entire journey or join for just one stage, or even part of a stage. It is a different way to travel to the conference, share experiences, and connect with fellow scientists outside the usual working environment.
If you are in Bologna, join us on Thursday, 29 October, at 18:30 at Ex Dynamo, via Indipendenza 71/z. Together with Salvaiciclisti-Bologna, we will present the cycling itinerary and related activities at an open event dedicated to sustainable mobility, climate change, and dialogue between science and society.
