The scientific programme of the First Annual Conference of the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC) is enriched by two events aimed at pointing out that the issues of climate research can be communicated to a more general and broader public than the only scientific community. Therefore, these events draw attention to two different kinds of public and their relationship with the world of research: on the one hand the media and the debate on climate change, on the other hand innovative and experimental ways and tools to tell science to children.
